Pencil-drawing
Except for the one gorilla- drawing i have in my gallery and some bird-drawings from years back.. this is actually the first animal-drawing(s) i've ever done...
...so i'm actually quite satisfied with how it turned out
There is always things that i wish i did better or used more time on to get the details right ( like all the wrinkels/skin-texture on both the elephant and the buffalo and some of the hair on the zebra closeup) .. but all in all and considering i never really done this before, i'm happy with it
Ref.: The closeup of the zebra is after a photo from Bandasphoto's gallery - the ref is this one:

)
The rest i don't know where they come from, i got them from somebody else... i think they are old postcards or something.. so if somebody recognize the pictures and know where they are from - please let me know
Edit: Seems like some of these photos is from a photographer named Nick Brandt - which apparently works exclusively in Africa. Nevertheless his photos is AMAZING. I love 'em
size: 48x52 cm
Time: some 6-7 hours + 4 days home sick

tortillons for subtle details and blending
cotton-pads and brushes for blending
putty-rubber, blu-tack and tuff-stuff eraser stick for erasing
Paper: Mellotex ULTRA WHITE 250 gsm (first time i try this.. very good to work with

)
I can't find enough words to describe this!
Wonderful work.
Also, I stopped blending shades because I'd get frustrated for them not blending in well enough and so on... What's your opinion on blending? I see you use it a lot.
Should I go back to blending shades and such? It would help a lot. Thanks
